L’équipe PROcessus et inTéractions de fine Echelle Océanique (PROTEO) a pour objectif une meilleure compréhension des processus gouvernant la variabilité de la dynamique océanique ainsi que les interactions à fine échelle entre la physique océanique...

L’équipe PROcessus et inTéractions de fine Echelle Océanique (PROTEO) a pour objectif une meilleure compréhension des processus gouvernant la variabilité de la dynamique océanique ainsi que les interactions à fine échelle entre la physique océanique, la biogéochimie marine et les écosystèmes marins Les échelles concernées sont la méso-échelle, la (sub)-mésoéchelle, de quelques jours jusqu’à quelques années. Nous étudions en particulier les cycles biogéochimiques (nutriments, carbone, oxygène), le plancton et sa biodiversité, l’écologie des prédateurs supérieurs et les échanges aux interfaces eau-air-glace. Notre démarche s’appuie sur la modélisation (physique-biogéochimie-écosystème marin), la collecte et l’analyse de données (in-situ et satellite, télémétrie animale) et le développement de méthodologies innovantes.
