ABC

L’objectif principal de l’équipe Austral Boréal Carbone (ABC) est d’observer et comprendre la variabilité et l’évolution (synoptique, interannuelle à décennale) des propriétés physico-chimiques des masses d’eau, de la circulation, des apports d’eau douce

L’objectif principal de l’équipe Austral Boréal Carbone (ABC) est d’observer et comprendre la variabilité et l’évolution (synoptique, interannuelle à décennale) des propriétés physico-chimiques des masses d’eau, de la circulation, des apports d’eau douce, des interactions océan-glace/neige-atmosphère, des flux de chaleur (méridien) dans les océans polaires et l’Atlantique tropical. L’équipe s’appuie sur des réseaux d’observations physiques et biogéochimiques et les combine à des données acquises lors de campagnes en mer, à des mesures spatiales, à des simulations numériques et à des réanalyses de centres opérationnels (Mercator- Océan, Mercator Vert, ECMWF). Nous avons une importante activité de développement instrumental pour l’amélioration des observations in situ.
